VLN: Successful test for the 24-hour race

Well prepared for the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring: Dennis Busch, Nicolaj Møller Madsen, Mike Rockenfeller and Frank Stippler finished sixth in the second round of the VLN Endurance Championship at the Nürburgring, which took place in dry and sunny conditions.

The Phoenix drivers in the blue and white no. 5 Audi R8 LMS moved up from twelfth on the grid during the four-hour race.

“For us, this round was another good test for the 24-hour race at the end of May,” said team manager Dirk Theimann. “We used all four of our drivers, which is not optimal due to the minimum pit stop times, but it worked out quite well. We still have to work on the performance over the long runs and we will test on the Nordschleife next week. Then the six-hour qualifying race is up next.”
