DTM: Mike Rockenfeller drives to a top 5 finish at the Lausitzring
In Saturday's race at the Lausitzring, Rockenfeller had an early pit stop and tyre change, and with this strategy, he moved forward through the field.

Mike Rockenfeller in the top 5: The first race of the DTM race weekend at the Lausitzring saw the Phoenix DTM driver improving his position from eighth on the grid to finish fifth. Already on the seventh lap, Rockenfeller pitted and changed his tyres. He then proceeded to move forward position by position, including some very good overtaking manoeuvres. Teammate Loïc Duval pitted halfway through the race, but he also had to serve a five-second time penalty for a jump start at the beginning of the race. The Frenchman finished the race in fifteenth position.
