In the Blancpain GT Series Asia round in Thailand, the drivers from Phoenix Racing Asia clinched a total of three podium places.
Marchy Lee and Shaun Thong, Alex Yoong and Alex Au had started the first race in the two Audi R8 LMS cars of Phoenix Racing Asia from grid positions nine and ten and went on to fight a gripping battle with each other. Following a safety car period, Marchy Lee in the Audi R8 LMS of Audi Hong Kong managed to make up a few positions and took third place before the pit stop. Shaun Thong was able to defend this position after the driver change and finished the race in third place with a razor-thin margin in front of Yoong and Au in the sister car fielded under the Audi R8 LMS Cup entry. Due to a time penalty imposed on the runner-up, the two Phoenix Audi drivers moved up to second and third place.
In race two, Marchy Lee and Shaun Thong again came second, which earned them the second position in the championship after four of twelve races. Alex Yoong, the start driver of the sister car, was pushed off track by a rival as early as on lap one while running in position three and was forced to retire.
