China GT Championship: Successful weekend for Phoenix Racing Asia
A race win and two more podium finishes, that was the success story for Phoenix Racing Asia at the second race weekend of the China GT Championship hosted at Zhuhai.

In the first heat on Saturday, Marchy Lee and Alex Au finished third with their Audi R8 LMS, achieving their first podium result of the season. Their teammates Melvin Moh and Eric Lo finished seventh in the sister car. The race threw many challenges at the drivers. Shortly after the start, it began to rain heavily and the safety car was deployed. With twelve minutes of the race remaining, the heat was red-flagged and not restarted.

On Sunday, the two Audi R8 LMS cars, running under the name of Audi Hong Kong, achieved even better results. The team scored a 1-2 triumph. Marchy Lee had a strong comeback drive and moved forward from ninth to second position during the first half of the race. After the driver change, teammate Alex Au took the lead and held first position up until seventeen minutes were remaining in the race. Their teammate, Melvin Moh, then took the lead and secured his first win of the season together with Eric Lo. Lee and Au followed them home in second place.

The next race weekend of the China GT Championship will again be in Zhuhai from July 28 to 30.
