DTM: Mike Rockenfeller best Audi driver in fourth place at Zandvoort
In the end, Mike Rockenfeller barely missed the podium. Loïc Duval received a time penalty and finished 13th.

In Saturday‘s DTM race at Zandvoort, Mike Rockenfeller fought his way from ninth to fourth place. Lap by lap, Rockenfeller decreased the gap to the three leading BMW drivers, but in the end he could not overtake third-placed Maxime Martin. “Fourth place is basically a good result,” said Rockenfeller. Overtaking is very difficult here at Zandvoort. I was stuck behind the BMW cars almost throughout the entire race and had a tough time with them. But tomorrow we’re going to attack again!”

Loïc Duval was struck by misfortune in a major way. After starting from sixth on the grid, he only finished in position 13 following a time penalty.
