Nürburgring 24 Hours: Phoenix Racing without fortune
A disappointing 24-hour race for Phoenix Racing: Both Audi R8 LMS cars did not reach the finish line of the iconic endurance race at the Nürburgring following accidents.

In the night hours, there was a misunderstanding when the two-time winner Markus Winkelhock from Audi Sport Team Phoenix in the number 6 Audi R8 LMS collided with Connor De Phillippi from Team Montaplast by Land-Motorsport. Both race cars were no longer drivable. Contact between a rival and experienced campaigner Frank Stippler in the number 5 Audi deprived Phoenix Racing of a top-6 result shortly before the end of the race.

Ernst Moser:
“We had a tremendous preparation, a superb driver squad and a strong car – but this time we were lacking racing fortune in our home round.”
